Dr. Wilke and the staff at Red Bank Animal Hospital on Dayton Boulevard,

In early February, 2009, I visited your facility with my little bichon, named Zoie.  I was visiting my son and his wife in Chattanooga and was then traveling on to Florida.  Zoie had been miserable for three months and was biting and scratching her tail.  Zoie just did not seem to generally feel well.   She had been to the vet many times at home but nothing seemed to help.  I just wanted to send you this email to let you know that I once again have a happy little dog and to express my gratitude for your caring concern, diagnosis and treatment plan that made this happen.  Here are the many positives that I came away with from my single visit to your facility:

  • Your phone was answered by a friendly, concerned individual who really listened to my situation and got me in quickly
  • When I arrived I was made to feel comfortable but more importantly, Zoie was made to feel comfortable.  Dr. Wilke took cues from Zoie on how to hold her, talk to her, etc. and listened carefully to my concerns
  • The exam was thorough-no assumptions were made.  X-rays were indicated and a urine specimen was analyzed.  Dr. Wilke was right when he said it "usually is not one single thing"
  • Diagnosis was made in professional manner-she had an infection, atopic dermatitis, and was in danger of developing bladder stones
  • The treatment plan was outlined in a clear and understandable way-antibiotic for the infection, a wonderful medicine, Atopica, for the dermatitis and a change of food to Science Diet s/d
  • A follow-up letter was waiting for me when I returned home

In addition to having all the products I needed, I was helped to the car with them.  Zoie was just passing through Chattanooga, but she was given the same respect and quality of treatment that I am sure you give to all your patients.
Thanks again-you restored quality to Zoie's life, as you said when we left, "I just want Zoie to be the best she can be."
