                      Recommend geriatric blood profile and
                         urinalysis yearly to aid in:
                           1. Evaluating overall health status
                           2. Screen for certain diseases such as
                               diabetes, hyperadrenocorticism
                               (Cushing's), and hypothyroidism 
                           3. Early detection of possible kidney 
                               and/or liver dysfunction
                       
                        *Since large breeds age faster, these tests may be 
                               recommended earlier for dogs such as Dobermans, 
                               Great Danes, Greyhounds, Labradors,
                               Shepherds, and Mastiffs
